Christmas is coming!

For Spanish people, food or Christmas Day dinner is very important, but certainly, the main celebration where the whole family sits together at the table is on Christmas Eve. In the UK it is not celebrated Christmas Eve. One is Christmas Eve. Lots of charm for children because they are looking forward to bedtime they visit Santa, but dinner that night is the same as the other days.
In Spain there is no typical dish dinner on Christmas Day, but in the UK the "signature dish" is the roast turkey stuffed turkey together with pigs in blankets (a kind of sausage) gravy (sauce made with juices natural turkey while baking), cranberry sauce, roast potatos (baked potatoes with butter), Brussels sprouts and other vegetables and dessert too. In Spain, it is traditional nougat, the shortbread, figurines ... but we have a predefined dessert to the main Christmas celebration. In UK, however, for dessert on Christmas Day is celebrated: Christmas pudding, a pudding was made from plums are served with rum sauce or brandy or custard cream (similar to custard but lighter). They also serve mince pies, a kind of apple tartlets with butter and mixed nuts.

Before lunch they give a gift, crackers, a kind of cylinder wrapped in gift paper with two prominent ends of which two people should pull (usually done with the person right in front of you at the table). By stretching the ends, making the cracker breaks similar to a firecracker sound. The person who gets the biggest part, is left with the gift hidden inside the cracker, usually a paper crown, you must put and spend dinner with her in the head.

And to end my post, here I leave a typical Christmas song. Merry Christmas to all !!
