Saint Patrick´s Day

March 17th is Saint Patrick 's Day, when the death of St. Patrick, or St. Patrick, who is the patron saint of Ireland is commemorated. In the United States Saint Patrick 's Day is celebrated in style because many Americans are of Irish origin. Today it is celebrated by almost anyone, whether or not Irish ancestry .
There are parades in cities like New York , New Orleans , Chicago or Boston, the 17th day prior to Sunday.
Bars , pubs and restaurants offer dyed green beer, and typically also wear some green color. Even people wearing green hats or shirts with collars and four leaf clover . That day of the luck of the Irish or the luck of the Irish is spoken. Many locals also sing Irish songs while guests drink beer .
In schools the children celebrate St. Patrick's Day with crafts , eating cookies or cupcakes and green talking about the history of the patron saint .
Also hear talk of " leprechauns " which are pixies of Irish mythology . Is said to be engaged in mending shoes, and who keep their currencies in a golden bowl at the end of the rainbow.
